Battlefield of the Mind: Winning the Battle in Your Mind This book is great and really, really helped me recover from an emotional, verbally and mentally abusive relationship. I was only able to go to church about 10 times a year and even then caused rages in my ex. This will help you to understand how to recover and understand your feelings. As a pastor who is called to care for his sheep, I have two objections to this book: 1. Joyce Meyers flagrantly misquotes/mistranslates scripture. She translates Proverbs 23:7 as "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he...". I invite the reader to open up any bible and see if her translation of Proverbs 23:7 matches up with any other english translation. It doesn't.
