You can haul bottled water from the supermarket or you can use the Brita water filter pitcher to filter, store and pour your drinking water. Terrible:
This pitcher is poorly designed and constructed in almost every way imaginable. I have the same spout problem as the first reviewer. On top of that, I find that the filter gets dislodged, and sometimes floats to the top while I am filtering, thereby mixing my already filtered water with dirty, grey New York city tap water. I hate this pitcher. As soon as I run out of filters, it's going in the dumpster.

Despite what some of the other reviewers have said, I have had no issues with leaking or spilling water from this pitcher. I have never once spilled water when trying to pour the water from pitcher. The pitcher is easy to fill and will hold a lot of water! The electronic indicator on the top of the pitcher is great so you don't have to try and remember when the filter was last changed. I was a victim of the Brita "Drink Responsibly" advertising campaign (summer 2008) and I bought the pitcher before I read the reviews here. Reading these (1 star) reviews allowed me to look for the problems described and I have not experienced them. I did not note a leaky top, although this may have been because I was being careful thanks to K.M. aka Squishy's review.
