Memory Makers Magazine promises "a community of ideas and inspiration primarily for scrapbooking", and the magazine does a good job hitting their target. Memory Makers is published nine times a year by F&W Publications, and sells at a reasonable price. The newsstand cover price is $5.95, but a yearly subscription can go as low as $2 - $3 per issue if you search for discounts. I subscribe to only 4 paper craft related magazines and this one is one of the best. I find it only includes layouts showing the latest trends and products and while I may not have all of them, it is very inspiring. there is always something new to try, buy or enjoy. Changes to this magazine are disappointing:
I was already teetering on whether to renew my subscription to MM or subscribe to another publication instead. I ended up sticking with MM because I have enjoyed the layouts in this publication for a long time. I made the wrong decision. The "new" memory makers is boring. They got rid of the interesting layouts. There are far fewer layouts in this new magazine and the ones they show are nothing new. I consider myself still a beginner scrapbooker after purchasing supplies for 3 years now. I just don't have as much time to scrapbook as I would like, but this magazine has great ideas, themes, and advertisements. Lots of ads in this particular magazine have coupons and free items for online purchases, so that has been tons of fun to just see what all I can get at a discount price that I otherwise wouldn't have gotten.
