This magazine tries to be a sexier version of Foreign Affairs but instead comes across as her dumber, louder, and more ideological sister. Largely reporting on the foreign policy opinions, positions, and prejudices of the American center-left, this is not the place to see balanced and deep treatment of complicated foreign policy matters. This is an excellent magazine that will educate its readers and improve the breadth of their worldview. The magazine covers a range of topics in each issue, with multiple viepoints represented. The articles are written by professors, heads of state and other qualified people, and deliver plenty of knowledge, information and analysis without being too dry, long or boring. The writing is clear and concise, free of jargon that would daze the average person. I'm happy that I ordered a subscription to this magazine as it not only matches, but surpasses the content provided in the Foreign Affairs Journal. The student discount rate I received (at the official foreign policy website) has the most reasonable price. Each new issue of FP contains a barrage of perspectives on numerous topics that are very relevant today.
