I may be wrong in my appreciation but this is my thinking every time I recall Washington Post: "professional independent journalism". There is a subtle difference between professional independence and freedom of writing whatever you want and the difference is responsibility. I have had the opportunity to read this weekly national edition before and I was pleased, I have subscribed again because I enjoy the level of care and professionalism journalists at Washington Post put into their notes. Great for political junkies!:
If you're a political junkie, probably more left leaning, then the weekly edition of Washington Post hits the spot. This edition includes indepth reports, articles, and their opinion columns for the past 7-10 days of each issue. After living in Washington, D.C. for four years, I got spoiled with the every day and behind the scenes reporting conducted by the Washington Post.
