Imitated But Never Duplicated!:
Much like New Jack City and Higher Learning, Boyz N The Hood was ahead of its time. I say this about both the film and the soundtrack. The soundtrack, of course, had your share of rap by Ice Cube (How To Survive In South Central), Main Source (Friendly Game Of Baseball), Monie Love (Work It Out) and 2 Live Crew (Hanging Out). It also had some beautiful instrumentals from Stanley Clarke and Quincy Jones. It had an R & B classic from Tony, Toni, Tone with "Just Me And You" and an underrated song... more info WRONG PACKING:
i bought the audio CD, to my surprise i recieved a DVD NOT AUDIO CD. Great movie, even better soundtrack:
Personally I loved the movie. The insight given by Laurence Fishburne's character(Furious)evened the movie out so it did not end up in the ignorant hood movie category(Think Menace To Society and Baby Boy). The soundtrack is just as memorable. Standout Tracks: HOW TO SURVIVE IN SOUTH CENTRAL, GROWIN UP IN THE HOOD(Classic CMW s***), JUST A FRIENDLY GAME OF BASEBALL REMIX(creative classic by Main Source), WORK IT OUT(shout out to Monie Love), EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND, SPIRIT, JUST ASK ME TO(I'll admit I like... more info Tracks:
