Breathtaking:

Caruso's performances are purely breathtaking. This set does not attempt to over-process the sound as some do. All the 78 RPM noise gets through and so does all the music. This is the way these recordings should be heard. Was Caruso's voice really that fantastic or is it just that the recording process of the day was perfectly suitable to his voice? It doesn't matter - what you will hear on each and every track is Caruso giving everything he's got. There will never be another like him, and there's no better... more info
